PraxiBuilder Terms of Service

Last Updated: July 22, 2026

Welcome to PraxiBuilder! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the PraxiBuilder web application and services. By accessing or using our platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By logging in and using PraxiBuilder, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the service. We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time, and we will notify you of any material changes.

2. Account Responsibilities

To use PraxiBuilder, you must authenticate your account using Google OAuth.

  • Account Security: You are solely and entirely responsible for any and all activity that occurs under your authenticated account.
  • Authorized Use: You agree to use the platform in compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, including any school district policies regarding the digital creation and distribution of educational materials.

3. Content Ownership and Licensing

We respect the intellectual property of educators. You retain 100% ownership of all original content, including math problems, text, formatting, and diagrams, that you create or upload to PraxiBuilder ("User Content").

  • Platform License: To operate the service, you grant PraxiBuilder a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive license to host, store, render, and display your User Content strictly for the purpose of providing the service to you.
  • AI Processing: When you choose to use an AI-assisted feature, the relevant User Content is transmitted to third-party AI providers to generate a result, as described in Section 5.
  • Prohibited Content: You agree not to upload materials that infringe on the copyrighted works of third-party publishers or creators without authorization.

4. Sharing and Collaboration

PraxiBuilder includes features that allow you to share your customized assignments and question banks with other educators.

  • Shared Licensing: If you explicitly choose to generate a sharing link or distribute an assignment to a colleague via PraxiBuilder, you agree to grant that recipient a royalty-free, non-exclusive license to view, copy, edit, and utilize that specific User Content for their own educational purposes.
  • Link Visibility: When link sharing is enabled for a bank or assignment, anyone who has the link can view and copy that content until you turn sharing off. Shared links are not publicly indexed, but they are accessible to anyone who obtains the link.

5. AI-Assisted Features

PraxiBuilder offers optional AI-assisted tools, including question generation, inline refinement, smart question variants, explanations, and parsing of certain imported files.

  • Third-Party Processing: To provide these tools, the text and content you submit for an AI action is transmitted to and processed by third-party AI providers through our infrastructure provider. Do not submit content you are not authorized to share for this purpose.
  • No Accuracy Guarantee: AI-generated output may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or otherwise unsuitable. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in any assessment or distributing it. PraxiBuilder makes no warranty as to the accuracy or fitness of AI output.
  • AI Credits: AI features consume "AI credits" allocated to your plan. Current allowances are described on our Pricing page and may change. A credit is charged only when a generation succeeds.

6. Subscriptions, Billing, and Promotional Codes

PraxiBuilder offers a free Basic plan and a paid Pro plan. The features and prices currently offered are shown on our Pricing page.

  • Payment Processing: Paid subscriptions are processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details.
  • Recurring Billing & Renewal: Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) at the price shown at checkout and automatically renew until cancelled. Where a free trial is offered to new subscribers, the plan converts to a paid subscription at the end of the trial unless you cancel beforehand.
  • Cancellation: You may cancel at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, after which your account reverts to the Basic plan. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable.
  • Promotional Codes: We may, at our discretion, offer promotional or complimentary access codes. Such codes are subject to their own usage limits and any stated expiration, are limited to one redemption per account, are non-transferable unless otherwise stated, and may be modified or revoked.
  • Changes: We reserve the right to change our plans, features, and pricing. Material changes will be communicated in advance, and existing subscribers may be eligible for grandfathered terms at our sole discretion.

7. Availability and Disclaimer of Warranties

PraxiBuilder is provided on an "AS-IS" and "AS-AVAILABLE" basis. While our team is dedicated to doing everything reasonably possible to fix bugs, resolve layout issues, and ensure platform uptime, we do not guarantee that the service will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.

  • You use the platform at your own risk. PraxiBuilder expressly disclaims all warranties, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular educational purpose, accuracy of AI-generated content, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PraxiBuilder and its creators shall not be held liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of work product, printing errors, reliance on AI-generated content, or service interruptions, resulting from your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the platform.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and your use of PraxiBuilder shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action or proceeding related to the platform shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in California.
