About PraxiBuilder

PraxiBuilder is a question bank and exam builder for educators. It helps teachers organize questions into reusable banks, assemble print-ready assignments, and use AI assistance to draft and refine questions, all while keeping full control over layout, spacing, and formatting for a physical, printed page.

Who built this

PraxiBuilder is built and maintained by me, Doug. A math teacher in Southern California. It started from a simple, recurring frustration familiar to a lot of teachers: building an exam in Word or Google Docs, watching a diagram or answer choice jump to the wrong page after one small edit, and losing time to formatting instead of teaching. PraxiBuilder is the tool built to fix that problem directly.

What makes it different

• Real LaTeX math rendering for equations, not an image workaround.
• Precise control over answer space for short answer and essay questions, a setting most tools do not expose at all.
• Bimodal questions that can serve as either multiple choice or free response from a single source question.
• Images and diagrams that stay attached to their question through edits and reprints.
• AI assistance for drafting questions, generating distractors, and building question variants, billed in credits and only charged when a generation succeeds.
